Summer Fun

Katie rode with her Dad today on the sprayer. She also got to go drive for the first time yesterday.....the goose is loose now.....every little bit she want to go drive!

Michael got to celebrate his birthday early. His present was in a bag, that was in a bag, that was in a bag, that was in a bag, (he sure was getting a kick out of the game) that was in a bag! He turns 11 July 10th.

The Moment I turned into my Mom!

I walked towards the trash can with it in my hand....Stopped....thought.....there were only cookies in this bag.....it is a perfectly good bag.........I'll just wash it.

I am now officially my Mom!

Update

I attended the KHA Board Retreat in Colorado Springs following Memorial Day. The meeting was held at the Garden of the Gods. These are some pictures from my room....what a treat!

Katie and Michael are spending the next two weeks with us!! Should be fun....we picked them up on Father's Day which was special for Cayle.

Busy in May

Braylon stayed with us a couple of weekends this month. We really did enjoy having him here with us....forgot how much more work it is though! I took a couple of Mondays off and stayed with him.

Brett was here to see him also....it's always so fun to have him around!

Cayle, Nicholas, and Brett cut down the last tree which had died. It was a little tricky since the cable line was entangled in the dead branches.....luckily it worked without loosing Brett's Royals baseball game.

Mom and Dad kept him on Tuesday and played and played and played. 5 minutes out of town on the ride back to his home he was OUT!

Season has started

Cayle's season with his plane is going again. He was able to get several acres sprayed yesterday. Way to windy today though. Looks like tomorrow will be a better day. I'm ready to start planting cucumbers! I pick Braylon up tomorrow to spend the night with us....that will be fun and some pictures to come, I'm sure.

Washington DC

I went to the American Hospital Association Convention in Washington DC on Saturday and returned home Wednesday. It was a very good trip and as usual I learned a lot. The theme was definitely focused on the upcoming election.

I met Bob Dole.

There were several speakers there that I found very interesting.......

I was there just towards the end of the cherry blossoms festival. I was amazed at how the daffodils grew wild along the roads. It was beautiful!

We stayed at the Hilton Washington. You can't see it very well but the drive way is where President Ronald Regan was shot. They later built the stone covered drive for security of the President. This is the place many large policital events are held.

I walked down to Dupont Circle, these were some of the homes seen along the way. Some time we'll have to go when there is enough time to actually do some sightseeing.
