The movie True Grit was filmed in Ridgway and Ouray Colorado. We went to the True Grit Saloon to eat lunch. This Saloon wall was used in the movie.

A special golfing crew.

Cayle, Uncle Gene and Dick Sheets golf together at the Leoti golf course.  I think ther is a lot of shenanigans that go on with all of them😄

Dick and Rosemary Sheets are moving to an elder care facility in Lakin.  So Cayle and Gene will meet Dick at the golf course there from time to time.  Gives them another golf course option. 

Yesterday Cayle ran over one of Gene's golf balls and squished it down in a hole.  Dick tried to pop it out with his golf club which of course made it go deeper😅. Gene finally had to bend over and pry it out.  After that they each had to protect their balls, Gene did manage to plant one of Cayle's.  Payback.

Shelia's class reunion

This year was my mom's 50th high school class reunion. My 40th class Reunion and Shelia's 20th class reunion.  Sheila's class road a float through the county fair parade, When they drove by our house they stopped, crawled off the float and walked over to me in front our yard. They presented me some flowers in honor of Shelia and I received a hug from each one of them. It was an amazing moment for me.  It was so good to see how they have all changed and grown up. What a classy group of kids.  

Journaling mood

I must be in the mood to do some journaling. 

Ilsa stayed with us for a few days this last week. One of the stories that came out of her stay with us goes like this. 

In the morning when I would put on my make up Ilsa would want to sit on my lap and put on facial moisturizer like Grammy. So of course, that is what we did. It was so cute I would put a dab on her hand and she would rub it on the side of her face.  She didn't even mind when she got some in her mouth. Ha ha. Yuck 

Then one morning she was eating blueberry yogurt for breakfast. Once she started getting full and slowing down she dumped a spoonful of the yogurt and her hand and squished it around. As I watched her I could see the lightbulb turn on. She put some more in the palm of her hand and started rubbing it on her face just like the lotion. So she has started her yogurt facial routine early. It was so cute I just sat there and chuckled. I wished I would have thought to get a picture of her.
